So, I’m in a quandary for this month. The company is paying 300% to pick up flying at the end of the month. I’m off for all of it, and the temptation to pick up flying is almost overwhelming.
The pay is nice (I’d be making mainline pay) and if I can find a good trip, I could log 20+ hours in 4 days (and pickup 60+ hours of pay). I would miss Thanksgiving, but I’m not sold on doing Thanksgiving with the family anyway (especially if I can get Christmas off).
Shake the money tree and earn some green or enjoy time off with family (or in Aruba where there’s palm trees and beaches but I’ll miss out on turkey)? Welcome to the airline pilot lifestyle I guess.
