Submarine back afloat

So I’ve finally got around to fixing Submarine.  It’s still not 100% (overheating problems still), but is better and can run without issues.

I’ve swapped out the PSU for a Corsair SF450.  It produces much more power than my old 200 watt PicoPSU.

This resulted in my CPU cooler not fitting.  With some measurments, I have ~40mm to work with and went with a Scythe Kozuti Low Profile CPU cooler which is only 39mm high.

With the PSU upgrade, I’ve also added a single slot videocard.  ELSA launched a 1050Ti videocard in Japan that fits my requirements and I pulled the trigger on it.  The other option was an XFX Radeon RX460 but after looking at the performance, it seems the 1050Ti would have better performance and I got one shipped from amazon.jp.

It still overheats, so I’ll soon get a fan on the side to increase airflow.  I think I’ll be able to put an 80mm fan on the side to blow air into the case.

Had fun a a LAN in Wisconsin last weekend with the Submarine.  Got some odd looks going through security with it, but was fun and eventful.
