I’ve been anxiously watching the pilot world and want to get into the action. Endeavor Air just started offering a $20k a year retention bonus. Several cargo airlines are hurting for pilots and I’ve been tempted to apply to Ameriflight and see if I can get a part time gig out of PHX. There’s numerous pilot factories in Phoenix looking for CFIs but more interesting, the simulator places in Tuscon are looking for instructors.
I’m not ready to move back into the flying world. I’m looking at an FAA medical in August followed by BFR/IPC and ATP in January/February. In anticipation of the plan, I’ve been digitizing my logbooks.
Getting my proverbial ducks in a row until I go out and see if I can find a part time flying gig 🙂 Hopefully this time next year I’ll have a part time job flying a light twin somewhere 🙂
