Rocking the Cisco Classes

So, I passed CNT150AA though Glendale Community College and also got a 75%+ score on the final and thus earned a discount on the ICND1 test.  So happy that class is over with, it became very hectic at the end.

I will say that the format of the class left something to be desired in that the last week was composed of not reading the material and furiously handing in homework.  The class was 4 times a week for 3 hours a day, and that wasn’t nearly enough time to get through the Labs in class.  If I was to do it again, I would expect to spend 2-3 times the in-class time working on Packet Tracers and Labs outside of class in addition to the class (and add in another 1 hour a day to just read/study the material).  This is realistically undoable while holding down a full time job due to requiring 40-50 hours a week on the class alone.  I could have possibly done it had I not also been required to complete my ATP written by the end of July (it was a VERY hectic month).

Now my goal is to sign up for the CNT160AA and shoot for the ICND1 test in the beginning of September.  Right now, I’m planning a little R&R and not studying for a little while.
