So, I’ve been enjoying a new Lenovo T470 laptop after my Dell died a few months back.\u00a0 \u00a0Hopefully, it continues to perform but thus far it’s served me well.<\/p>\n
I have to admit it’s handled the travel well after 3 months.<\/p>\n
I did add an after market upgrade by replacing the HDD with a 500 GB Samsung 850 Evo.\u00a0 Spinning rust is so passe and I love the instant boot\/open that a SSD affords.\u00a0 The small size hasn’t been too much of an issue, I’ve been happy to prune the media I have on the laptop as I’ve gone along.<\/p>\n
I did get two upgrades from the factory.\u00a0 The first and most important was I purchased the upgraded FHD IPS screen.\u00a0 The screen is very bright and is visible at a wide angle, and the colors pop.\u00a0 The second factory setting is I purchased the\u00a0i5-7300U instead of the i5-7200U.\u00a0 It’s hard for me to tell if the processor upgrade was worth it, but thus far I’ve not hit too many processor lag issues.<\/p>\n
I will admit that lacking internet at home, this is my primary computer and I use it for everything and it’s serving well at this purpose.\u00a0 Seems strange that I’m satisfied with this after having a series of powerful desktops but it’s working.<\/p>\n
It might also be that I’m getting used to the travel lifestyle and living on the road.<\/p>\n
